under the peculiar circumstances

this Colony I should not think of working the mint without
strong protection, and as the ~Military are available

object, and it is elsewhere customary to have a mint Military Guard, I have thought
its best to make the present farrangement,
which I hope will : prove to the advantage of

sanitary view, as
the locality of the mint is undoutedly healthy-

The Acting Surveyor General
has reported is favourably of, and Mr Kinder is so well satisfied with, the way in which the hint Building has been constructed that I have caused a sum of $2,000 to be included in this Estimate, as some compensation towards the heavy loss sustained by the Contractor in the fire
